You lost your ticket or booking confirmation

Since 2019 e-tickets mean your passport is the ticket. Open the app, or ask the window to look you up.

Lost? !

Your passport is the ticket — no paper needed.

What you'll see

If you cannot find your booking, you do not need paper — the passport is the ticket:

"Booking not found" · "No e-ticket"
中国 App / 车站提示为:找不到订单 / 无电子票
Error-text level: L2 (observed wording). Exact text is being verified.

Why it happens

China uses e-tickets tied to your passport. Your booking lives in the 12306 or Trip.com app under My Orders, and the station can look it up by passport number.

Fastest fix, free: Open the app, go to My Orders, and show the e-ticket QR code. Or give your passport to a station window to look up the booking.

The full fix sequence (free)
  1. Open 12306 or Trip.com and go to My Orders (我的订单).
  2. Show the e-ticket QR code at the gate or window.
  3. If the app is unreachable, give your passport to a station window to look up the booking.

When the fast fix isn't enough

In the kit

The kit gives the lookup path per app.

1. My Orders path per app

Where the e-ticket QR lives.

2. The trigger matrix

When the window lookup works.

3. Offline printable version

The path as a printable card.

If nothing works

If the window cannot find your booking:

  1. Ask staff to search by your passport number.
  2. Check the email or card statement for the booking reference.
  3. Rebook and claim the original later if found.
