Your SMS verification code never arrives

Didi needs a code to register or log in, but it never comes. Use a Chinese SIM, or switch the login method.

No code !

Foreign SIMs often miss Chinese SMS codes.

What you'll see

If the code never arrives, the SMS is being blocked before it reaches you:

Verification code failed · SMS not received
滴滴 App 显示:验证码发送失败 / 未收到短信
Error-text level: L2 (observed wording). Exact in-app strings are being verified against a live device.

Why it happens

Foreign SIMs often cannot receive Chinese short codes, or your carrier blocks them. A Chinese SIM fixes it because the code is sent from a local number.

Fastest fix, free: Restart your phone and tap resend; if it still fails, use a Chinese SIM card or ask the hotel for a temporary one.

The full fix sequence (free)
  1. Wait 60 seconds, then tap Resend.
  2. Restart your phone to clear SMS routing issues.
  3. Try another phone number if you have one.
  4. Use a Chinese SIM card, it receives local codes reliably.

When the fast fix isn't enough

In the kit

When the code keeps failing, the kit gives the carrier-unblock steps and a login path that works without a Chinese SIM.

1. The lookup table

Which carriers block Chinese SMS and the exact call to lift the block.

2. The trigger matrix

When a Chinese SIM is mandatory vs when an eSIM workaround works.

3. Offline printable version

The unblock script and login steps as a printable card.

If nothing works

If you still cannot log in:

  1. Ask hotel staff to help you get a Chinese SIM.
  2. Use Didi inside the WeChat mini-program, which may need less verification.
  3. Contact Didi support through the app for an alternative login.
