You can't add more than one card

Some foreign accounts are limited to one card. Split the cards across the two apps instead.

1 card only !

Foreign accounts are often capped at one card.

What you'll see

If adding a second card fails, your account may be capped at one card:

"Card limit reached" · "Cannot add more cards"
中国 App 里显示为:已达绑卡上限 / 无法添加更多卡
Error-text level: L2 (observed wording). Exact in-app strings are being verified against a live device.

Why it happens

Many foreign accounts are limited to a single bound card. WeChat and Alipay track this limit separately, so the same physical card can live in both.

Fastest fix, free: Remove the existing card, then add the new one — or keep one card in WeChat and put the second in Alipay, since the limits are separate.

The full fix sequence (free)
  1. Remove the existing card first, then add the new one.
  2. If you need both, add the second card to the other app (WeChat and Alipay have separate card limits).
  3. If neither works, contact customer service.

When the fast fix isn't enough

In the kit

The kit shows the exact card-split plan per bank.

1. The card-split planner

Which card goes where, by bank, to avoid the duplicate-bind reject.

2. The trigger matrix

Which banks cap at one card vs. which allow more.

3. Offline printable version

Your split plan as a printable card.

If nothing works

If you genuinely need both cards and neither app cooperates:

  1. Contact customer service to raise your card limit.
  2. Use one card for QR payments and the other for online bookings.
  3. Ask a companion to pay and reimburse them where your card is refused.
